Terms & Conditions

By using our website or engaging Pebbleway services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement on behalf of yourself or the family you represent. If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from using our website or engaging our services.

3. Description of Services

Pebbleway provides in-home elderly care and support services in Taiwan. Our services are non-medical and supportive in nature. We do not provide nursing care, medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency medical response. Specific service details, scope, and pricing are as described on our website and confirmed in writing at the time of engagement. Service availability is subject to caregiver availability and geographic reach.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Pebbleway website, including text, images, and design, is the property of Pebbleway or its licensors. You may view and print content for personal, non-commercial use only. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of any content without prior written consent is prohibited.

6. Payment Terms

All service fees are quoted and invoiced in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$). Specific pricing is provided at the time of service confirmation. Payment terms, accepted payment methods, and invoicing schedules are set out in the written service confirmation. Pebbleway reserves the right to adjust pricing with reasonable advance notice. Any adjustments to ongoing service fees will be communicated at least 14 days before taking effect.

Refunds: Fees paid in advance for services not yet delivered will be refunded on a pro-rata basis in the event of service cancellation by Pebbleway. Fees are non-refundable for cancellations initiated by the client with less than 48 hours' notice, except in documented emergency circumstances.

7. Service-Specific Terms

Transition & Adjustment Support: This service runs for a defined period of two to six weeks. The end date is confirmed at service initiation. Early termination by the client is subject to the cancellation notice provisions above.

Specialized Cognitive Companionship: Sessions are scheduled at agreed intervals. Changes to scheduling must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance. Observations shared with families are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice.

Elite Personal Attendant: This arrangement is subject to a written service agreement. Either party may terminate with 14 days' written notice. Caregiver replacement requests will be addressed within a reasonable period at no additional cost, subject to availability.

Pebbleway's services are supportive and companionship-based. We are not a healthcare provider and do not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information provided by caregivers about a senior's observed condition is not a substitute for professional medical assessment. Families are encouraged to maintain regular contact with qualified health professionals for medical matters. Our website content is provided for informational purposes only.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Pebbleway's liability for any claim arising from these Terms or our services is limited to the total fees paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim, in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or as required by mandatory Taiwanese law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pebbleway, its staff, and caregivers from claims, damages, or costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your provision of inaccurate information, or your actions in relation to the care arrangement.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate an ongoing service arrangement with 14 days' written notice. Pebbleway may terminate with immediate effect in cases of: abusive behaviour toward caregivers; provision of materially false information; or circumstances that pose a safety risk to our staff. Provisions relating to payment, confidentiality, and limitation of liability survive termination.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through direct communication. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Tainan District Court as the court of first instance, unless both parties agree to alternative dispute resolution.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. For ongoing service clients, material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of our services after that date constitutes acceptance.
